[Living in the resort after everyone left has mostly been uneventful for Phil and Medic. It's mostly been the two relaxing and occasionally helping with Ripley and Snake's plans to take down the SCP. It was a nice change of pace in life, at least in Phil's eyes.

However, today things seem different. Phil barely leaves his room all morning and when he does, he seems completely on edge, looking as if something bad is going to happen at any moment.

That's probably normal, right Medic?]

[Medic squints. Looks at the calendar again. Looks at Phil. Looks at the calendar.

Dawning comprehension.

He reaches over and grabs Phil by the shoulders, gripping a little too tightly and shaking him slightly.]

Did the looping start again?

[Phil jumps slightly at Medic grabbing him.]

No, not yet at least.

[He lets out a dry laugh.]

It's stupid, getting this nervous every Groundhog Day now. It's not like the groundhog gods are going to torture me annually... right?

[He looks up at Medic, trying to look casual but he seems genuinely worried about the possibility.]

[Medic's grip relaxes as Phil explains, but he keeps his hands on Phil's shoulders.]

It's not stupid. It makes sense. This is the first Groundhog Day you've had since the loop.

But it's not going to turn out the same way again. You're not even in the same dimension, ja?

[Privately, Medic knows the possibility is still there. But it won't happen. It can't. He won't let it.]

[Phil frowns, fidgeting with his coffee cup and leaning slightly towards Medic.]

I guess, but I don't know how this dimension stuff works. Honestly for all I know whatever put me in the loop in the first place might want me put it back in because I wasn't able to complete it my first time around.

[blutsauger]

... Well, fuck them.

[Medic snorts.]

If anyone or anything tries to do that to you again, I will put a stop to it.

[And that's something Medic is sure about. Even if he can't stop a loop from happening again, he's sure he could stop it. Even if he would only have one day to do it.

A bit egotistical, but after you've defied gods and the devil enough times, you probably deserve a little overconfidence.]

[Phil gives Medic a small smile at that, and he softly grabs Medic's hand.]

God, where were you when I first went to Punxsutawney?

...Will you kill that groundhog bastard for me? Apparently it didn't work when I tried doing it.

In another dimension.

[Said matter-of-factly.]

Of course I will. The little rodent won't know what hit it.

[Medic brings Phil's hand to his lips, kissing it.]

And if it's not the groundhog, then I'll hunt down and kill whatever else might have a hand in your previous torment.

[Phil chuckles slightly.]

Mmhm, keep talking about how you're going to murder everyone who's wronged me.

[This is how they flirt, I guess.]

[I mean to be fair this IS exactly how Medic flirts so its a good thing Phil's a fan]

Gladly.

Not even gods can stop me from punishing those that deserve it. And whoever put you through a time loop certainly qualifies.

[He leans in to kiss Phil on the lips.]
